I was elected as the Club's Chairperson following the AGM and am looking forward to my time in the role. The club has successfully navigated it's way through the current Corona Virus issues and has remained as one of the most active paddling clubs in the North East of England. I hope that as a club we can continue to remain active and for coaches and members to look forward to more adventures to come, with or without covid restrictions (Hopefully without by next year). The club has some exciting plans and I'm glad to also be a member to hopefully take part in some of these in the future.

I'm a photographer but in my spare time, I love a bit of adventure and getting outside my comfort zone trying outdoor activities. I joined the club with my son in 2021 and found my love for Sea kayaking and generally being on the water.

My name is Tom and I’m the club Coaching Officer. I organise most of the Personal Performance and Coaching Award assessments that go on through the club. I really enjoy all aspects of the club but get increasing pleasure from seeing others develop into skillful paddlers, coaches, leaders and active members of the club.
