I was elected as the Club's Chairperson following the AGM and am looking forward to my time in the role. The club has successfully navigated it's way through the current Corona Virus issues and has remained as one of the most active paddling clubs in the North East of England. I hope that as a club we can continue to remain active and for coaches and members to look forward to more adventures to come, with or without covid restrictions (Hopefully without by next year). The club has some exciting plans and I'm glad to also be a member to hopefully take part in some of these in the future.
This position is vacant
I was elected Vice Chair in 2020, having been actively involved in the clubs sea kayaking programme for the last 3 years. I have been supported by the club through various awards and am now a British Canoeing Moderate Water Sea Kayak Leader. I am passionate about sea kayaking and love getting out to enjoy the tranquillity and encounters with wildlife. I mainly focus my club activities on leading trips locally in the Northumberland area or further afield to places such as St Abbs Head and Bass Rock. I am keen to encourage the growth and development of sea kayaking within the club, it gives me great pleasure to see people advance in their ability, confidence and knowledge. 2020 has been a tough year for everyone but I am hopeful that in the coming months and years we will be able to get back out doing what we love and fingers crossed there will be some exciting expeditions planned for the near future.
My name is Tom and I’m the club Coaching Officer. I organise most of the Personal Performance and Coaching Award assessments that go on through the club. I really enjoy all aspects of the club but get increasing pleasure from seeing others develop into skillful paddlers, coaches, leaders and active members of the club.
Hi, I look after our I.T. related things such as WebCollect and the Website. I'm also an Open Water Canoe Coach
